India, October 2018: On a mission to #DitchThePlastic, more than 500 Ambassadors of Change from all over India, have pledge to Ditch the plastic and adopt its alternative. The initiative is taken by NatraWild Network in association with Frapp-Students App and Mission Green Mumbai. This initiative is in line with this year’s theme by United Nations Environment. Plastic is very durable material but just like our Hindi saying – “kuch pane k liye kuch khona padta hai ” we are getting the durability but at the same time, losing the healthiness of our environment.
The initiative was kickstarted on 10th of October 2018 and will continue till 31st of October 2018. Sharing her views on the menace of plastic pollution, Mr.Armaan Vananchal, Founder-Frapp says, “Mother Earth gives life abundance and selflessly while we pollute and ravage her with plastic toxicity. We need to awaken the nurturer within each one of us and be the change. We partnered with Natrawild Network in order to reach thousands of students on our platform and make this initiative successful.”
“It is exciting to witness the huge participation from students all across India for #DitchThePlastic initiative. We are pleased to work together with so many people to make this initiative a success and to partner with NatraWild Network in building a better world. With more than 8 million tons of plastic waste generation every single day, we understand the need to spread awareness and promote the ills of plastic pollution.
Through this initiative we hope to create advocates who support up-cycling and help in keeping our country clean”, Said Dr. Subhajit Mukharjee, Founder-Mission Green Mumbai NatraWild Network has developed a deep emotional connection with Mother Nature. Commenting on this initiative, Rushabh Deena Shah, Founder- NatraWild Network, “We are delighted to kick start the #DitchThePlastic initiative all over India and would like to thank all the students across the country who participated in the campaign.
India is a beautiful country that exhibits the spirit of ‘Change’ to many and it is important for all of us as individuals to recognize the importance of our environment and play our part in ensuring these ecosystems are undeterred by human activities.” Plastic Bags have got no swag, but definitely, these students from all over India pledging to ditch the plastic have got a Swag. A Swag to bring a change in the mindset of people.
